India - Day 3

A later start today was welcomed by all as we met for breakfast of masala dosa for the more adventurous of us and Vegemite and toast for some!  Then it was off to Pastor Bashir's Friday church service and to meet up again with the lovely Annie from Freeset.  The service was run by our team, worship led by Karen on keyboards with Angel on lead vocals and the rest of us in the choir.  After Meena welcomed and introduced the team, we sang, Elizabeth and Angel shared, we all prayed and Karen preached.  It was a very moving service with not many dry eyes in the room.

After the service we headed upstairs where lunch had been lovingly prepared by the ladies at the church and as we shared our meals, we had time to get to know everyone, share our chocolates with them and take lots of photos.

After lunch we headed off to see the land where Freeset will eventually make their home base and wandered through the village and met the children and village locals.  A lot of laughter and fun ensued when some of our team pulled out a skipping rope and demonstrated how to use it.  One young boy showed a real affinity for it so we left it with him.  Back to Annie's house for afternoon tea and a chance to ask her all the questions we had - that took a while!

Dinner was in a local restaurant one notch up from a roadside stall and we had such fun mixing with the locals and riding home in tuk tuks.
