Rwanda - Day 8

This morning started at 4am to be on the road by 5am. It was finally our day off and we went to the Akagera National Park to experience African wildlife firsthand. The park was amazing – it stretches 110kms from South to North and every last metre has breath taking views of mountains and savannahs. Our guide was often hurrying us as we just wanted to stand in awe of the view.

We also saw baboons, zebras, giraffes, crocodiles, antelope, hippos and many other animals not found in Australia.

Despite the 13 hours spent on the bus, we are feeling refreshed and ready for another day.
