RCF is partnering with Empowering Cambodia to meet the needs of poor children and their families in rural Cambodia.
Many of these children do not have the opportunity to attend school and also suffer from the effects of poor nutrition, which affects their ability to learn as well as their overall health.
Through the Children's Development Centre in the Kompong Thom province, the children receive additional education and assistance with their Khmer studies plus they are taught English, creative skills, hygiene, moral ethics, general life skills, as well as receiving nutritious meals.
The centre provides a wholistic environment in which the children can develop. This project also works with the children's families to empower them to break the poverty cycle.
RCF is supporting the Capacity Building program at the Centre, which focuses on children and youth in order to bring about generational change. Find out more at www.empoweringcambodia.org.
